With around 30 years in media and communication sector as a professional journalist, amassed experience as a project management seasoned banker and investment professional, and through the process has served and serves as a key resource person on several private Boards, Committees and Task Forces.
Education
She holds an MBA with specialization in project management from University of Kigali, a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management from University of Tourism and business (UTB) and also, she studied Local Development and Natural Resource Management at the Panafrican Institute for Development PID/ CA based in Douala, CAMEROON.
Solange is a Chair of Media Development Fund (MDF), Vice Chair of Rwanda Association of Journalists (ARJ), Member of PAX PRESS, Member of Women Media Owners for change (WMO), Member of Association of women Journalists (ARFEM).
Experience
Her career started as a Reporter, Head of Regional Information Center) in the Northern province and Head of Production Unity at Radio Rwanda, ORINFOR (current RBA). She served as a Program Manager for Radio Izuba, a community radio based in Eastern province and for Radio Isango Star, a commercial radio located in Kigali City. As a Correspondent to international media and agencies such as “Syfia International” a French news agency and DW (Germany National Radio) where she published various articles and radio reports.
Ayanone worked in communication and project management with international NGOs such as Partners in Health and International Rescue Committee and PAX PRESS.
In media consultancy, Solange worked as a Trainer for International Women Media Foundation (IWMF) and also as a coach and a member of steering committee for WAN-IFRA.
